You guess correct.
Well then you have yet to get the full camp experience. That explains why you hate it here.

And that’s supposed to get me excited?
I take it you’ve never done this camp thing before.

People are acting like its some big fantasy land which will grant all their wishes! All they are going to be in disappointed when they see all it has is trees.
And a lake. And canoes. And go karts. And horses. And bikes.

Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop. I Must Be Dreaming || Monica & Ryan
Monica was more than shocked by his reply. “Usually you go out of your way to annoy me.” she commented, looking at him with raised brows. “Your reaction is surprising. Someone’s in a bad mood.” Part of her had hoped that seeing him in a bad mood as opposed to being his cheery self would bring her contentment. But instead it concerned her, which really bothered her. “Someone have daddy issues?”
“I’m sick,” Ryan replied in what he hoped was a convincing tone. “And that means it’s your lucky day. I don’t feel like bothering you. Do me a favor and return the favor, alright?” He knew her question was referring to his relationship with his own father, which was fine. He and his father had an okay relationship. It wasn’t the greatest, but it wasn’t the worst. His relationship with his father wasn’t the daddy issue he was facing today. “No.”
I’m just not setting myself up for anything at this camp thing.
I don’t get it. What’s wrong with liking camp?

Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop. I Must Be Dreaming || Monica & Ryan
Monica was outside in an attempt to occupy herself. Memories of the Father’s Day the year before haunted her. Memories of Father’s Days spent with Manfred haunted her as well and both were equally sickening. It was just a terrible day so she was doing her best to think of other things. She wandered the grounds of the camp, her hands in her pockets. Ideas flickered through her mind. Perhaps she would head back to her cabin and watch a comedy. Maybe Harvey, maybe Arsenic & Old Lace, or maybe The Odd Couple. She was shocked when someone walked into her. “Maybe you should be.”
Ryan frowned when he saw who he’d bumped into. “Oh. It’s you,” he grumbled. He usually would have loved bumping into Monica. Making her smile was a challenge he had taken on. But he had very little energy or motivation today, and he didn’t feel like talking to anyone. Especially someone like Monica who insisted she couldn’t stand him. He already felt horrible enough. “Ease up on the sass there. I was apologizing.”
(@Faith {Title This Shit})
To say Ryan was in a horrible mood was a complete understatement. He was miserable. He was avoiding going back to his cabin at all costs. At least outside he had less of a chance of falling apart. He wouldn’t shatter while people were around and could see him. But if he were alone back in his room, he might just break down and not be able to function again. Ryan would have been fine if it wasn’t Father’s Day. Why did there have to be a day dedicated to fathers anyways? What about the Father’s who didn’t get to be fathers? What about the fathers who lost their title? Where was their damn holiday? He was so caught up in these thoughts he barely noticed when he bumped into someone. “Sorry,” he muttered quietly, to the point where his apology was almost inaudible.
I guess so.
What’s the matter with you?
